Tapas are small rations of food normally given in Spain when you order a drink. They are small plates of deliciousness to pick on while you sip on a glass of wine, una caña, or even a coca-cola. 

Tapas can range from FREE to €3 depending on where you are. In my previous post, Where to Travel in the South of Spain, I mentioned a few provinces in Andalucía. Granada is well known for free tapas.List of Tapas:

Look and listen for the locals in town! They tend to gravitate to the bars that are not tourist centered or tucked away in alleys.

LIST OF TAPAS: (suggestions)

  • patata bravas– fried potato wedges with a red spicy sauce
  • tortilla de patata– potato and egg omlette
  • ensalada rusa– potato salad with tuna or shrimp
  • croquetas de jamón– croquettes with ham
  • plato de jamón y queso– plate of Iberic ham and cheese

While you are in town try some local tapas spots!
